PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass spectroscope capable of detecting a component which cannot be made incident on a detecting part as a diverging component by making it incident, and is capable of detection at high sensitivity by optimizing the ion trajectory. SOLUTION: A sample is guided into the space in an ion trap composed of a ring electrode 4 and end cap electrodes 2 and 3, and then are made to collide with thermoelectrons emitted from a filament 1 to be ionized. When the electrode 4 is applied with a high-frequency voltage, ions are trapped in the ion trap space. If the high-frequency voltage to the electrode 4 is scanned, ions are released from the ion trap space in the order of mass number. An ion release hole is formed in the electrode 3, and the ion released from the end cap electrode 3 side is guided into a deflection part 16 equipped with electrodes 5, 6, and 7. The electrode 5 and 6 have net-like structures to allow the ions to pass through, and by making the ion release hole larger than the area of the ion release hole of the electrode 3 it is possible to take every ion released from the ion trap into the deflection part 16.
