PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke which is capable of coping sufficiently with adjustment in deflection magnetic fields by improving the degree of freedom on winding even in the case of using a slotted core. SOLUTION: This deflection yoke comprises a DY core 19 which is shaped like a cylinder having a larger opening at one end than at the other end and a plurality of protrusions 21A, 21B disposed on the inside surface of the core 19 along its central axis, and deflection coils which consist of saddle type coils wound on the inside surface of the DY core 19 and a loop-like coil portion 30 wound around a prescribed protrusion portion 21B, which is shorter than the core in the direction of the central axis of the core, in the plurality of protrusions 21A, 21B formed on the inside surface of the DY core 19.
