PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrial antibacterial method by which slime control for water used in a paper making process in paper and pulp industry or for cooling water for various kinds of industries and preservative treatment for a coating liquid for paper making, latex, paint, glue, textile oil, metal working fluid or the like can be effectively performed. SOLUTION: In the antivacterial method by mixing ammonium bromide and a chlorine agent (component a) and immediately adding the mixture to the objective water system, an organic antibacterial agent (component b) is synchronously or successively added to the system.
