PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing humin in water by which humin in water is decomposed by irradiation with ultrasonics and humin or humin decomposed products can be easily removed. SOLUTION: In the method for removing humin in water, the water containing humin is irradiated with ultrasonics at >=200 kHz frequency and >=200 W output for two or more hours, and after the irradiation with ultrasonics, the water irradiated with ultrasonics is left to stand to separate the humin and the humin decomposed products in the water as the solid substance. By this method, the humin and the humin decomposed products dissolved in the water after the irradiation with ultrasonics can be separated from the water.
