PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe cannula with which oral intake of foods can be performed by a patient who suffers from symptoms of dysphagia and repeats misswallowing. SOLUTION: The cannula having an arm section 1 connected to a tube 3 which is inserted into the trachea through a tracheotomy aperture is equipped with a tampon which can be inserted and removed through the tracheotomy aperture and plugs the trachea at a part just below the glottis by swelling with moisture, wherein a string 5 attached to the tampon 4 is fixed to the arm section 1 by fixation means 7 and 8 through a slit 6.
