PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photopolymerizable dental surface coating material composition forming a glossy transparent cured film having durability and abrasion and stain resistances simply by coating thereof on the surface of a resin restorative material and carrying out photopolymerization in a short time. SOLUTION: The photopolymerizable dental surface coating material composition comprises (A) a polymerizable polyfunctional acrylate having≥4 ethylenically unsaturated bonds, (B) an acrylate or a methacrylate polymerizable monomer represented by formula (1): CH<SB>2</SB>=C(X)-CO<SB>2</SB>R (1) (wherein, X is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and R is a 3-25C alkyl group), (C) a volatile organic solvent and (D) a photopolymerization initiator. In 100 pts. wt. total of the components (A), (B) and (C), 85-5 pts. wt. of the component (A), 2-85 pts. wt. of the component (B) and 5-85 pts. wt. of the component (C) are contained. Furthermore, the component (D) in an amount of 0.5-10 pts. wt. based on 100 pts. wt. total of the components (A), (B) and (C) is contained.
