PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiphase AC power controller and its power controlling method that make it possible to avoid wave form disturbance that is caused to occur by interference with each other phase that arises when the zero cross timing of a phase coincides with the igniting or arc-extinguishing timing of the other phases, in controlling multiphase AC power. SOLUTION: In the multiphase AC power controlling device that controls multiphase power supplied from a power supply 1 to a load 4 by the igniting or arc-extinguishing operation of power control elements 3a, 3b, at the timing when at least one phase of a multiphase AC deviates from a prescribed phase angle range including a zero cross point, the igniting or arc-extinguishing operation of the other phase is performed.
