DOMAIN NAME SERVICE SYSTEM AND A METHOD, ESPECIALLY WITH REGARDS TO TRANSMITTING AN ADDRESS OF A DOMAIN NAME SERVER HAVING A MINIMUM NUMBER OF HOPS TO A MOBILE HOST

PURPOSE: A domain name service system and a method are provided to supply a domain name service through a DNS(Domain Name Server) having a minimum number of hops and a mobile host by using position information on the DNS included in an external link, thereby receiving the best domain name service within the shortest time. CONSTITUTION: An address manager(300) requests position information on the first to fourth DNSs(110,120,210,220) installed in the first and second external links(100,200), respectively, and transmits the requested position information to the first to fourth edge routers(130,140,230,240) connected to a mobile host. An address collector(500) collects the position information on the DNSs(110,120,210,220) at the request of the address manager(300), and transmits the collected position information to the address manager(300).
