PURPOSE:To reduce the internal defects such as bores, voids, cracks inside the basic material by controlling the stage of granulated powder, and to obtain a non-linear resistor and the method of its manufacture with which the strength of the basic material can be improved. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacturing method of a non-linear resistor constituted by providing an electrode on a calcined body which is mainly composed of zinc oxide, mixed with one or more kinds of metal oxides, and calcined after granulation and molding, raw granulated powder, having the average grain diameter of 30 to 120mum of the granulated material and containing the grains of 5% or less of 150mum or more in a density of 1.10g/cm<3> or more, is used. |
