PURPOSE:To offer an ID system provided with a maintenance monitoring function capable of forecasting a relative positional shear between a data carrier and a head prior to the disablement of mutual communication due to the positional shear. CONSTITUTION:This ID system is provided with plural comparators 24, 25 for comparing a coil output with a prescribed reference value in order to evaluate the validity of a communication state due to a change in the relative position between the data carrier 1 and the head 2 and plural lamps 27, 28 for informing a communication stable state, a communication enabled state and a communication disabled state based upon the compared results. Consequently a relative positional shear between the data carrier 1 and the head 2 can be forecasted and the maintenance of the ID system can be executed at a succeeding proper time. |
