A display driver IC(Integrated Circuit) having a horizontal scroll function is provided to reduce a CPU load by transmitting only new data to be displayed on a screen. A display driver IC includes an interface unit(211), a memory(212), a timing controller(213), a horizontal scroll unit(214), a data driver(215), and a scan driver(216). The interface unit outputs display data and control data for controlling driving chip(210). The memory stores the display data. The timing controller generates control signals, which are used for displaying the display data on a display panel(220) in response to the control data. The horizontal scroll unit scrolls the display data in a horizontal direction according to the control of the timing controller. The data driver receives the display data from the memory in response to the control of the timing controller and supplies corresponding current to the display panel. The scan driver applies a scan signal to the display panel.
