<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a base plate of a disk type recording device, or the like in which finish accuracy of a disk housing concave part can be secured at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the base plate of the disk type recording device in which concave parts 11, 12, 13 housing a disk type recording medium, a spindle motor, a magnetic head, and its actuator are formed and a control circuit substrate is fixed at the external side, desired size accuracy is secured by shaving off rise of a corner part caused by wear of a molding metal by machine cutting the corner part composed of a bottom plane of the semifinished disk housing concave part 11 after molding and an inner peripheral wall 112.
