PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam material, manufactured easily and stably in shape, and enhancing a bending moment value without increasing the weight of a steel material used. SOLUTION: This beam material includes a lower flange part 11, a pair of right and left web parts 12 continuously arranged upward in a right angle by welding and connecting (Y) the lower end thereof to the right and left side ends of the lower flange part, and an upper flange part 13 continuously arranged sideways in a right angle shape by welding and connecting (Y) to the upper end of at least one web part. The beam material can be easily manufactured stably in shape by welding and connecting a plurality of portions. The beam material is formed like a U-shaped frame having the sideways upper flange part at the upper end, so that as compared with the I-beam (H-steel), the beam material can be formed strongly without any increase in weight of steel material used, that is, without any rise in material cost by reinforcement action of the paired right and left web parts and the upper flange parts, and also the bending moment value can be enhanced.
