PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge holder unit capable of surely preventing an ink from leaking to the outside of an apparatus equipped with cartridge holders even if a structure laminating the cartridge holders in the vertical direction is used, and to provide a recording apparatus. SOLUTION: In this cartridge holder unit, a plurality of cartridge holders 13 for holding ink cartridges 12 are vertically laminated and assembled to flow path units 114 having air flow paths for feeding compressed air into the ink cartridges for pressure-forwarding the inks stored in the ink cartridges 12 and ink flow paths for feeding the inks. Below the lowermost step of the laminated cartridge holders 13, a waste liquid storing part 39 which can store the ink leaked from the cartridge holders 13 is provided.
