A system and a method for transforming an e-document are provided to enable an e-document service system to offer a user various styles of services realizable in the web by transforming the e-document into a web document regardless of a style of the e-document and constructing a database with the web documents. An e-document transformation controlling module(101) collects a procedure for collecting and converting source e-documents into web documents. An OE(Object Entity) grouping module(140) checks a position characteristic and detail information of OEs forming each page of the source e-document, and groups the OEs according to position relation among the OEs and the detail information. An OE sequence arranging module(150) sets arrangement sequence of the OEs according to a figure characteristic formed by respective grouped OEs. An OE web pattern transforming module(160) transforms the OEs into a web pattern according to the arrangement sequence. A web document generating module(170) generates a new style web document corresponding to the source e-document by combining the transformed OEs.
