<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid having a low torque and high sealability, and mounted with packing, which is capable of attaining a high sealability under a low cap closing torque. <P>SOLUTION: A lid 220 having a packing 100 inserted and fitted to the lower surface of an inner top plate 221 and threadably fitted to an opening part of a container body 210 is configured so that a packing receptacle ring 222 having a predetermined width and connected to the inner peripheral surface of the upper end of the peripheral wall 224 is provided on the lower surface of a peripheral edge of the top plate of the lid, the packing is made of a laminated sheet, its upper-most layer is a crystalline polyethylene terephthalate film layer 110, it has a foamed sheet layer 130 at an intermediate layer, and there is provided a packing abutment ring of predetermined height at the lower surface of the inner top plate of the packing receptacle as required.
