<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device detecting degradation in the braking force of a hydraulic brake when the leakage of working oil occurs in a brake drive part, and to improve the safety of the hydraulic brake. <P>SOLUTION: The rotation of a motor 2 and the pressurizing and driving of a hydraulic unit 11 are controlled by a control panel 14 as a main control part. The control panel 14 controls the operation of a car. The control panel 14 monitors the rotation of the motor 2 by a rotation signal from a rotating meter 6.
