PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for catching falling objects, having strength enough for catching falling objects such as bricks for construction or tool for construction to the inside of a flue of a combustion chamber surrounded with the piling bricks and can be installed with less damage imparting to the joint of bricks as compared with conventional bamboo skewer. SOLUTION: The tool for catching falling objects 8 is provided with a pair of metal holders 9 having an end which is an attachment part 10 sticking into joint part 7 of a brick 6 and the other end which is a contacting part 11, contacting with a brick, and a metal linker 14 linking these pair of the metal holders 9, and a blocking plate 15 supported by the metal linker or the metal holder, either one member of the rubber, synthetic resin, fabrics is attached onto the face of the contacting part contacting with the bricks, as a shock absorber 12, and the sectional area of the blocking plate has an area at least 40% of the horizontal sectional area of the flue 4.
