When charging of each electricity accumulator is requested from a power supply on the outside of a vehicle (YES at S10), charge/discharge is performed between the electricity accumulators prior to charging each electricity accumulator (S20). A battery ECU calculates the voltage/current characteristics of each electricity accumulator based on the voltage and current of each electricity accumulator collected during that charge/discharge (S30). Based on the voltage/current characteristics thus calculated, OCV of each electricity accumulator is calculated (S40) and then SOC of each electricity accumulator is estimated based on the OCV thus calculated (S50).
