<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive voltage regulator which can compensate voltage drop automatically when there are a plurality of candidates of transmission route, and to provide a voltage control method of the voltage regulator. <P>SOLUTION: The voltage regulator includes a section for detecting the open/close state of a plurality of switches for selecting any one of a plurality of transmission lines having different transmission routes between a high voltage substation and a low voltage substation, a section for deciding a transmission line selected among the plurality of transmission lines based on the decision results from the deciding section, a section for calculating voltage drop in the transmission route of a selected transmission line based on the deciding results from the deciding section, and a section for regulating the voltage generated in the high voltage substation to step up or down. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
