An electrode cell of a silent electric discharge type ozonizer can generate ozone safely and highly efficiently, and a method for manufacturing the same is provided. A method for manufacturing an electrode cell of a silent electric discharge type ozonizer comprises the steps of: (a) plasma spray coating a ceramic insulator onto a circular or planar first electrode(221) made from a conductive material to form a dielectric layer(222); and (b) coating the surface of the dielectric layer that has been spray coated with the ceramic insulator with the conductive material again to form a second electrode(223) in which the first electrode and insulator are integrally formed. The method further comprises a step of pre-treating the surface of the first electrode by grit blasting to form a surface treated layer(221a) before performing the step(a). The first electrode is made from carbon, stainless steel, aluminum, nickel, or copper. The second electrode is formed in the form of a metal mesh and made from aluminum, copper, iron, tungsten, gold, silver, molybdenum, chromium, stainless steel, or alloys thereof. |
