<p>The invention relates to a high pressure piston for compensating wear during operation, used in the oil industry for equipping simple- or double- action pumps for handling fluids. The high pressure piston for compensating wear during operation ensures the volume change at the contact with water, in that the metal support (1) is provided with a variable profile ring (3) made up of an anti-friction hydroscopic material capable of changing its volume when in contact with the water, in normal physical pressure and temperature conditions. The variable profile ring (3), inflatable within the range of the available volume resulting from cumulated piston-pressure cylinder wear, compensating the wear, exhibits lateral resilient variable profile gaskets (4) provided with sealing edges (a), some external concavities (b and c) and some internal concavities (d), wherein some resilient rubber armatures (5) are mounted, and laterally it presents some metal trays (6) which sustain all the elements on the metal support (1) and that are ensured by some safety rings (7).</p> |
