Provided is a liquid crystal display device of which a process is simplified. The liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a substrate; a thin film transistor positioned on the substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; and color filters positioned to face the pixel electrode, wherein a plurality of microcavities are formed between the pixel electrode and the color filters, the microcavities form a liquid crystal layer having a liquid crystal material, a plurality of the microcavities are partitioned by a partition portion, and the partition portion is formed by a color filter of one color among the color filters.
