The present invention relates to a skin composition comprising isoflavone and icariside B2 for external applications for moisturizing or whitening skin. More particularly, the present invention relates to a skin composition for external applications, which uses a synergic effect of isoflavone and icariside B2 for enhancing skin barrier functions, and improving complexion and skin tones. According to the present invention, the skin composition for external applications enhances skin barrier functions, suppresses generation of melanin, and exhibits a skin moisturizing effect and a skin whitening effect by improving complexion and skin tones.
