PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve character recognition accuracy in a stroke which can be identified with multiple characters.SOLUTION: A computer executes the following processing: generating input stroke information from input coordinate information corresponding to an input operation; generating a plurality of stroke combination candidates by combining collation strokes constituting collation characters, and evaluation values for the stroke combination candidates, from the input stroke information; specifying a first stroke combination from the stroke combination candidates, on the basis of appearance probability information, for each stroke stored in the storage device, generated based on appearance probability in each of the collation characters of the collation strokes and appearance probability of each collation character, and the evaluation values; and outputting a recognition character corresponding to the input operation, from the first stroke combination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
