PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to maintain quality of distribution from a distribution server to a terminal in a video distribution service.SOLUTION: In a video distribution system including a plurality of distribution servers which distribute video contents to terminals and a DNS server, each distribution server in the plurality of distribution servers includes load information provision means for generating load information related to video distribution and transmitting the load information to the DNS server. The DNS server includes: load information holding means for holding the load information received from each distribution server; and distribution server selection notification means for selecting, according to an inquiry from the terminal, a distribution server to perform video distribution to the terminal from among the distribution servers of selection targets under a predetermined criterion on the basis of the load information, and for notifying the terminal of the distribution server address.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
