According to the present invention, a composition for preventing or treating colorectal cancer, comprising a fraction of Chamaecyparis obtuse leaves as an active ingredient comprises a fraction of Chamaecyparis obtuse leaves, wherein a methanol extract for extracting Chamaecyparis obtuse leaves with methanol is extracted by at least one solvent selected from hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, butanol, or water. The composition for preventing or treating colorectal cancer, comprising a fraction of Chamaecyparis obtuse leaves as an active ingredient exhibits excellent effects in inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells with respect to colorectal cancer cells, and is a safe material, which does not have toxicity with respect to normal cells, thereby being efficiently used for preventing and treating colorectal cancer. |
