PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle opening sensor for improving detection accuracy while developing stable performance over a long period.SOLUTION: A throttle opening sensor 10 has a circuit board 26 stored inside a housing 12, and a set of resistors 24a, 24b formed on the lower face of the circuit board 26. A rotor 22 is rotatably provided facing to the lower face of the circuit board 26. Brushes 54a, 54b provided on the rotor 22 have slide contact with the surface of the resistors 24a, 24b, and discharge grooves 68 are formed in the surfaces extending along the resistors 24a, 24b. When the brushes 54a, 54b move while having slide contact with the resistors 24a, 24b under the rotating operation of the rotor 22, abrasion powder produced by the contact is discharged into the discharge grooves 68.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
