According to the present invention, an apparatus to manage a battery for an electronic device comprises: a constant current unit which consumes constant currents of a power outputted from a battery only in a turn on section of a square wave; a voltage measuring unit measuring a first voltage in a consumption section of the constant currents, and a second voltage in a non-consumption section of the constant currents respectively; and a control unit generating the square wave and transmitting the same to the constant current unit, and calculating a battery impedance using the measured first and second voltages, thereby calculating the battery impedance with high accuracy.
