PURPOSE:To decompose ethylene gas in a storing chamber for vegetables and fruits into aldehyde, etc., by packing a specified catalyst layer in the inside of a pipe having an air inlet and an air outlet and subsequently sending the air through the air inlet by using an air blast fan. CONSTITUTION:The air is sent through an air inlet 6 into a pipe by using an air blast fan 3 and then discharged through a catalyst layer 2 from an air outlet 7. The catalyst layer contains an air-permeable porous material or palladium chloride supported on the surface of the porous material. |
