Sheet rubber having a mesh structure is made by spraying latex by means of a compressed air atomizer on to a heated wire mesh or perforated plate so that latex deposits on the solid parts thereof and part of the latex passes through the holes, the deposited latex being coagulated and then vulcanized by the heat. The process is of particular application in making seamless girdles and like garments, the latex being sprayed on to a meshed or perforated mould of appropriate shape.
