PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material imparting high recording density, having high gloss and excellent not only in preservability but also in recording running properties and printability. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material formed by successively providing a thermal recording layer containing a color former and a developer forming a color upon the reaction of the color former, an intermediate layer containing a water-soluble resin/or a water-dispersible resin and an overcoat layer containing an ionizing radiation curable resin on a support and subsequently irradiating all of the layers with ionizing radiation, a silicone surfactant and a low mol.wt. polyolefin resin microball are added to the overcoat layer. |
