An automatic temperature control system in which all the components are mounted within or on a heating drum for thermoplastic yarn, comprises a negative temperature coefficient thermistor TH, fed from a full wave D. C. supply clipped by a zener diode D6, connected to amplifying transistors Q1, <SP>1</SP>2, the latter controlling the charging rate of a capacitor C1 which fires a unifunction transistor Q3 which discharges the capacitor through a transformer T thus providing fixing pulses to thyristors SCR1, 2. The forward resistance of a diode D1 varies with ambient temperature which provides compensation and a resistor R4 linearizes the output of the thermistor.</p> |
