METHOD FOR PRODUCING AQUEOUS PIGMENT DISPERSION AND AQUEOUS PIGMENT INK, RECORDING APPARATUS USING THE INK AND RECORDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aqueous pigment dispersion which combines good productivity and good storage characteristics (specifically, no change in characteristics during storage at a high temperature), which is the problem involved in conventional beads of a small diameter.

SOLUTION: A method for producing an aqueous pigment dispersion comprises the main dispersion step of dispersing an aqueous liquid mixed with a pigment composition comprising a pigment, a dispersant and water with the use of zirconia beads having a diameter of not less than 0.01 mm to not more than 0.5 mm.
