<p>A security device is disclosed for securing a spare tire mounted on a hoist having a hoist shaft accessible through an opening in a bumper. The device has a cup that fits over the end of the hoist shaft to prevent access to the hoist shaft. A locking shaft extends from the cup and through the opening in the bumper. A padlock through an aperture on the locking shaft prevents removal of the device. If the device is moved to the rear, the cup prevents the locking shaft from moving out of the opening in the bumper. If the device is moved to the rear, the padlock prevent the cup from being removed from the end of the hoist shaft.</p> |
