An aircraft undercarriage comprises a leg 1 provided with a bore 3 in which slides piece 4 which is joined at its other end by a pivot 5 to a rocker 6 carrying two pairs of coaxial wheels 7. The rocker is connected to the leg by a telescopic shock absorber 8 and the rods 13 and 17, all pivots being parallel. A small telescopic shock absorber 16 can be connected to the front of the rocker 6 and the sliding piece 4. The mechanism is so proportioned that the pivot 10 is substantially midway between the wheel spindles and the ratio B/A lies between 2 and 5. |
