PURPOSE:To obtain a highly accurate gyro device with a fast response and a large detection sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:A gyro device includes a piezoelectric vibration gyro element. This piezoelectric vibration gyro element allows band-shaped electrodes 91-98 which are in parallel with length direction to be formed at a position in that an outer-periphery surface of a piezoelectric ceramic column 1 is divided into eight equal portions, each other electrode to be grounding terminals 91, 93, 95, and 97 in outer-periphery direction, and each adjacent electrode out of the remaining electrodes to be drive electrode portions 96 and 98 and detection electrode portions 92 and 94. A drive circuit is provided with an addition circuit 3 and an oscillation circuit 2 and is connected to the drive electrode portions 96 and 98, thus enabling the piezoelectric vibration gyro element to be driven. A detection circuit is provided with a differential amplifier 5, a synchronization detection circuit 6 which is connected to the addition circuit 3, and a DC amplification circuit 7 and is connected to the detection electrodes 92 and 94, thus enabling a rotary angle speed which is applied to the piezoelectric vibration gyro element to be detected. |
