PURPOSE: To provide an electrode assembly for medical treatment, having a simple structure of which the manufacture cost is comparatively low by a method wherein the disposable electrolyte pad includes an electrolyte layer which is fixed to the skin of a patient, and a packing member comprising a non-conductive material, which is directly superposed on the electrolyte layer in the same range. CONSTITUTION: This electrode assembly 5 for medical treatment includes an electrolyte pad 10 and a re-usable lead wire connector 12. The electrolyte pad 10 can be directly fixed to the skin of a patient who needs a monitoring by an electrocardiograph. The re-usable lead wire connector 12 substantially has a shape of an alligator type clip connector. Also, the reusable lead wire connector 12 connects a tab 14 which forms one part of the electrolyte pad 10. A lead wire 21 which connects the reusable lead wire connector 12 to an electrocardiograph or a similar monitoring device, provides a path to transmit a small voltage generated by the heart of the patient to the electrocardiograph. As a result, an electrocardiograph trace can be obtained. |
