摘要 1,263,809. Filter press. NORITAKE TEKKOSHO K.K. 17 April, 1969 [17 April, 1968], No. 19701/69. Heading B1D. [Also in Division H1] A filter press comprises an array of plates 5, or alternate plates and frames, which are suspended by hangers 13 sliding along bars 4, after movable head 2 has been withdrawn by hydraulic ram 8, the plates being moved individually to the right by mechanisms 14 which are moved in reciprocating manner by respective endless chains 15, one along each side of the press, driven by a common reversible electric motor 20. Each mechanism 14 comprises a block 44 and a pair of spring- loaded pawls 49, 50, whose slots 56, 57 engage over pins 47, 48, which project from a bar 46 which is slidable along block 44 but normally retained in one of two positions by a spring- loaded latching ball (121). Fig. 8 shows the mechanism moving leftwards, pawl 49 sliding under the hanger 13 of the first plate, after which pawl 50, which is oppositely oriented to pawl 49, engages that hanger and prevents mechanism 14 and chain 15 from moving any further. The resulting tension in the upper run of chain 15, as motor 20 continues to turn, is transmitted back to the left-hand run of main driving chain 31 (Figs. 1, 12), whereby the power is transmitted from motor-gearbox unit 20, 21 to the driving shaft which carries wheels 16 carrying respective chains 15. The tension in chain 31 lifts the motor-gearbox unit, which is attached to a plate 19 pivoted at 18, and the resulting slack in the right-hand run allows a spring-loaded arm 36, carrying a wheel 34 which engages cain 31, to move and engage a switch 43, which reverses the current through motor 20. Plate 19 then descends to its equilibrium position and mechanisms 14 move to the right. Pawl 49 carries the first plate with it (Fig. 9, not shown) until it reaches withdrawn head 2, and the resulting tensions in chains 15, 31 cause plate 19 to rise again, this time closing switch 42 (Fig. 13, not shown) to reverse the motor again. Pawl 50 is held down by depressor 111 on head 2 (and similarly by hangers 13 in subsequent movements), until it clears the plate. These actions are repeated, moving each plate in succession, until the last forward movement of the mechanism 14 causes it to contact a switch 114 (Fig. 1), which stops motor 20 and actuates ram 8 to return the plates to the position shown. As the ram pressure rises on completion of this movement, a pressure switch starts motor 20, moving mechanism 14 rightwards until it contacts switch 115 which stops the motor. Alternatively, each plate may be returned individualy to the position shown in Fig. 1. This is achieved by lever 52 (Fig. 8) whose upper end engages bar 46 and whose lower is brought into contact with abutment 112 (Fig. 1) at the end of the last forward movement of mechanism 14 (Fig. 11, not shown). This shifts bar 46 from one position to the other, and pins 47, 48 thereafter engage the lower end of slot 56 and the upper end of slot 57, which is the reverse of their positions in Fig. 8. The functions of the pawls 49, 50 are similarly reversed, and the plates moved one by one to the left in a series of cycles similar to those described above, until the status quo is restored when lever 52 is moved to contact abutment 113.
