PURPOSE:To provide a flame retardant electric insulating composition capable of suppressing the generation of poisonous gas and corrosive gas upon burning, having flame resistance of a high order, and of producing a flame retardant molded article excellent in mechanical characteristics and oil resistance, etc. CONSTITUTION:A metal hydroxide of 50 to 200 weight parts, a plyolefine, in which a compound having a vinyl base is copolymerized, of 3 to 20 weight parts, a silicone of 1 to 10 weight parts (and a mildewproof agent, a crosslinking agent, an antioxidant, etc., if necessary) are blended to a polyolefine of 100 weight parts. |
