An intermittent opaque deposit forms a spiral optical recording track on a transparent disc 10 which contains a magnetic ring 14 to assist in holding the disc on a turntable (11, Figs. 1 and 4) of a radius not greater than the inner radius of the recording track. The record disc is covered with a protective transparent layer (15, Figs. 6 and 7) and a conductive transparent layer (17) to inhibit the formation of electrostatic charges. |
