[Also in Division F2] A motor vehicle 1 provided with a compressed air braking system has a coupling 9 at its front end whereby when pushing a trailer 2 the trailer brakes may be operated. The braking system comprises compressor 3, reservoir 4, vehicle brake valve 5, trailer brake valve 6 and a rear coupling 7. In the event of vehicle 1 being towed an air line from the towing vehicle may be connected with the braking system of vehicle 1 via coupling 9 and a change over valve 8 to the reservoir. A double stop cock type and a rotary type change-over valve are illustrated in Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), respectively. |
