A multi-layer printed circuit consists of insulating substrates, 11 and 12, with holes, 13 and 14, through them; conductive channels, 15 and 16, being formed on the surfaces of each substrate and on the walls of the holes, and an auxiliary channel 17 being formed on the surfaces of the substrate 11 opposed to the substrate 12. The auxiliary channel 17 is positioned so as to cover the opposed hole in the other substrate and is electrically insulated from the conductive channels on the same substrate. Hence, after the substrates are joined together, conductive channels are formed which connect different surfaces of the substrates. Conductive and auxiliary channels may be formed using conductive ink; the channels on opposing substrate surfaces being subsequently sintered together. Many substrates may be joined in this manner, with holes, auxiliary channels and conductive channels in the required positions. |
