A control for a push-pull cable 11 comprises a housing 19, having a bush 26 to which the cable casing 13 is fixedly attached via a fitting 18, and within which housing a guide sleeve 40 is pivoted thereto by a pin 41, the sleeve containing a threaded operating rod 45 rotatably connected to the cable core 12 by means of a plug 48, wherein a control knob 46 is movable in a vertical plane to pivot the threaded rod into and out of engagement with a tooth block 53 fitted to the housing such that when out of engagement the rod may move axially for gross adjustment of the core and when in engagement rotation of the rod causes a fine adjustment of the core, the rod being spring-biased into the latter position. The fitting 18 is held in the lower bifurcated portion of bush 26 by a rivet 36 and the sleeve 40 is formed of two longitudinal sections riveted together at 38 and 39. The tooth block 53 projects through an aperture 52 in the sleeve. |
