A flexible printed circuit 13 is engaged with a printed circuit board 11 by means of a spring 15 located in a moulded synthetic resin housing 14 having a pair of upwardly extending lugs 17 at one end and a slot 21 at the opposite end, the housing being releasably secured to the printed circuit board by means of barbed latch members 16 which engage holes 12 in the printed circuit board. The flexible printed circuit, which has a pair of outwardly extending tags (not shown), has opposite edges engaged in grooves 21, and is folded round the one end of the housing so as to lie against the spring 15, the tags being inserted in slots 18 formed in the lugs 17. When the housing is engaged with the printed circuit board, the spring 15 urges exposed conductors of the flexible printed circuit against conductors on the printed circuit board. The lugs 17 may be replaced by an upstanding post (Fig. 2, not shown) on the housing, which extends through an hole formed in the flexible printed circuit. |
