RM/X87889/EP-AB A GLASS/POLYMER RESIN COMPOSITE ARTICLE OF IMPROVED ACOUSTIC INSULATION AND PROCESS OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF A glass/polymer resin composite article with improved properties of acoustic insulation comprises a pair of sheets of glass with an intermediate layer of sound-absorbing polymer resin made from a monomer composition comprising 5 to 50% of an aliphatic polyurethane and 15 to 85% of a mixture of photo polymerizable monomers. The article has the same transparency as glass, it is resistant to breakage and it is adapted to be used as glazing for vehicles and buildings.
