<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure printing press and its controlling method, with which widthwise registering deviation of printing by each printing unit can be converged in their early stage to a stationary state. <P>SOLUTION: This gravure printing press is equipped with a foregoing stage printing unit 10a, at which printing is firstly applied onto a web W, and following stage printing units 10b, 10c and 10d provided on the downstream side of the foregoing stage printing unit 10a and, in addition, has a controller 30. In the controller 30, the magnitude of a registering deviation, which is calculated by being based on both the magnitude of the registering deviation calculated by a registering deviation calculator 31c corresponding to one following stage printing unit 10c and the magnitude of the registering deviation sent to a manipulated variable calculator 32c corresponding to a following stage printing unit 10b locating on the upstream side of the following stage printing unit 10c, is sent to a manipulated variable calculator 32c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
