Housing, esp. for weatherproof encapsulation of telecommunication components, such as cable junction bars, surge arresters etc., comprises a lower portion and a slide-on lid. - Pref., both lower portion and slide-on lid are of tough, elastic, thermoplastics material, and the lid has a seal of e.g. closed-pore neoprene foam.
