Imidazolidinone derivs. as CNS depressants. New cpds:- (where X = H, Cl, Me or MeO; R1 = C1-4 alkyl R2 = H or Me, n = 2 or 3) are prepd. by known method. The cpds. with a high therapeutic index, may be administered orally, rectally or parenteral. They also have sympathicolytic and histamin/serotonine-antagonist activity.
