PURPOSE:To provide a long-life molten carbonate fuel cell capable of restraining increase in its internal resistance due to the flowing out of electrolyte and the occurrence of gas crossover by reducing the amount by which the electrolyte in an electrolyte plate flow out. CONSTITUTION:In a molten carbonate fuel cell provided with an electrolyte plate 13 comprising a filler-containing porous body impregnated with electrolyte made by mixed alkaline carbonates, the electrolyte plate 13 contains in its electrolyte aluminium by 0.07-18.2% of the total mole number of alkaline elements. |
